The fourth annual String Fling Guitar Festival returns to Auburn, CA, to the delight of guitar fans, aficionados, guitar students and friends and families throughout Placer County and beyond. The festival kicks off with a concert Friday night, May 3rd at 7:00 p.m., at Auburn’s iconic State Theatre with headliner The Keith Little Band. Delta blues musicologist Dr. David Evans is the opener, but arrive early to hear classical guitarist Daniel Roest in the Theatre Lobby at 6:30 p.m.

The following day, Saturday, May 4th, full-day of instructional workshops are offered at the Auburn Recreation District’s Canyon View Community Center, featuring Keith Little, David Evans, as well as local favorites David Massey, Hannah Jane Kile, Gary Bowman, and a special family show by Marjo Wilson and Cotton Dandee. The workshops start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and include an afternoon “strum-along.”
