The Foresthill community welcomed the opening of Brew Masters Deli with a ribbon cutting ceremony on

June 6th. The crowds were waiting at the door as the Foresthill Chamber of Commerce assisted the exuberant owners Jessica LeFur and her husband,  Kevin Hotter cut the ceremonial ribbon.

The restaurant is quite charming with many remembrances of Foresthill. Most of the woodwork was done by Kevin utilizing the old wood flooring salvaged from the original structure. The bar top was crafted from a huge tree felled from Finning Mill Road and milled to a gorgeous sheen. Two hand painted murals adorn the walls depicting No Hands Bridge, painted by Olivia Morgan, and Sunset Over Sugarpine,  painted by Kari Anderson. All of the furniture is “slightly used”  being repurposed from our local Fireman’s Garage Sale and from other venues.  If you wish to lounge in a comfy rocking chair or cushy sofa while you enjoy your fresh and creative food accompanied by a wonderful variety of hand selected craft beers, you have come to the right place.

The menu is quite extensive, centering around healthy cooked hot sandwiches served on special sourdough bread rolls, made in Fresno to their exacting specifications.  Sandwich choices are created with fresh turkey, ham, salami, roast beef, sopressatta, provolone, blue cheese, greens tomatoes, red onions, banana peppers, roasted garlic, carmelized onions and avocado. Each of the variety of hot sandwiches comes with a homemade sauce which makes your mouth water. Thus far, the “Winston” is the most popular sandwich crafted with turkey, bacon, provolone, greens, avocado, basil oil with comeback sauce. Cecile Ganel  is the chief chef, creating the ever changing menu.

The hand crafted beers are both international and locally sourced. Twenty taps are on hand to delight your palate. If you wish further education on your beer choices you must speak with Jim Rains, the bar’s certified cicorone. He loves beer and loves talking about them. One of Kevin’s favoritre choices is “Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA”  which is “an off centered beer for off centered people”. Brew Masters retains the seven or eight best sellers and rotates in different hand selected craft beers to the delight of their customers.

Jessica and Kevin are delighted to be open and providing fresh and creative food, including vegan and keto friendly options along with their handpicked craft beer. They encourage a family friendly atmosphere with a “Half-Pint Room” for the kids and available for groups as well. They provide a dog friendly outdoor patio, so bring Fido along. Operating hours are Noon to 8:00pm, Thursday thru Sunday. You can check out their specials at www.facebook.com/Brewmastersdeli/.
