The Foresthill Chmber of Commerce hosted the 11th Annual Cruise the Historic Gold Country and Classic Car Show on Sunday, August 18th.

It was one of those perfect summer days in the foothills. Warm but not too hot with clear skys and uncrowded roadways. Just right for a Poker Run Cruise followed by a Show and Shine at Leroy Botts Memorial Park, complete with music and barbeque.

The event kicked off with a ‘Cruise through the Gold Country’ starting with registration at Mel’s Diner in Auburn between 8 and 9 am. Those that made it to the event seemed to have as good a time as anyone can on a Sunday in August.

The winners were 1st place: Terri Spiller with a 1948 Cadillac 2 door Fast Back; 2nd place: Len Gray with a 1932 Ford Roaster; 3rd place: Mike Aquilina with a 1936 Plymouth Sedan and Ladies Choice: Bob Magellan with a 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. Next year’s car show will be on August 15th, we hope to see you all there!

Thank you to everyone who came out to Support our Classic Car Show event.  Especially to our sponsors and car owners who made the event possible.
