Michael Whittle, a Foresthill High School Sophomore, competed in a trap tournament at the Coon Creek Trap and Skeet Club in Rio Oso, CA where he won the Amateur Trapshooting Association’s (ATA) Singles B Championship hitting 96 out of 100 targets in some very challenging weather conditions. He against 30 other shooters in his grouping classification.  

Michael is an accomplished member of the Auburn Gold Miners trap team that Competes in California Youth Sports Shooting Association (CYSSA), ATA, and Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) events.   

This event was a combined ATA SCTP event where seven Auburn Gold Miners athletes secured 10 medals / buckles during the event.
