Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Cross Country team for being the First Lady Wildfire team to advance to a state championship! The race was held in Fresno at Woodward Park on Saturday November 24th.  They competed in the Division 5 race, placing 22nd as a team. The team surpassed 53 other teams in Division 5 statewide to earn their current ranking.

The ladies advanced to the CIF State Championship after placing second in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section race in Folsom the previous weekend. They placed first in the CVCL league championship earlier in the month. Times were as follows: Elizabeth Bradley 21:32, Lilly Watkins 21:50, Megan Knudsvig 22:34, Makayla Stallman 24:03, Kiera Odell 24:12 and Ellie Odell 25:54.

The head coach is Jeff Galleroa and the assistant coach is Eric Spencer.
