Muriel Anderson, one of the world’s foremost fingerstyle guitarists and harp-guitarists, partners with Auburn State Theatre to present a live-streaming multimedia concert with stunning visual backdrops that will transport you to different countries and times. In the second half, she will perform from her current release Acoustic Chef, featuring music from around the world and a cookbook of recipes and stories to go with each tune. Muriel is the first woman to have won the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship. Her unique compositions and approach to the instrument across genres of folk, classical, bluegrass, popular, and international music appeal to music lovers worldwide. Her CD, Nightlight Daylight, was chosen as one of the top 10 CDs of the decade by Guitar Player magazine, and her “Heartstrings” recording accompanied the astronauts on the Space Shuttle Discovery.
