A mother in Marysville said two of her sons, both in their 20s, are on ventilators in the hospital with COVID-19. Now, she's pleading to fellow Californians to do their part in curbing the spread of the virus.

"We're lost. We're lost. We don't know what to do but cry out. I'm crying out to my community. I'm crying out to California," Raina Silva said.

She said 29-year-old Ryan Silva and 24-year-old Ian Warlick are at Rideout Regional Medical Center in Yuba County.

When asked if they had any underlying health conditions, Raina said that they were overweight but did not specify further. She did, however, say she pleaded with her sons to get vaccinated.

But she said she never got the call from her sons saying they got the vaccine.

"I'm just asking anybody that has a heart to go get your shot; just go get immunized," Raina said. "It doesn't even hurt. So you get a sore arm. Big deal. Is that not something you would be willing to do to save a human life?"
