Placer SPCA has for the fifteenth year in a row been awarded a 4-star rating by Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest independent charity evaluator.

The 4-star ranking, Charity Navigator’s highest award, is only given to the most fiscally responsible, accountable, and transparent charitable organizations, making this achievement something Placer SPCA is very proud to receive.

Additionally, Placer SPCA ranks in the top 1% of all charities that have been awarded 4-stars ratings by Charity Navigator for the past fifteen years in a row, indicating that Placer SPCA outperforms most other charities in the country.

Founded in 1973, Placer SPCA has continued to serve the people and pets of the Placer County community while being solely funded by donations, grants, bequests, and service fees.

This accomplishment continues to affirm Placer SPCA’s outstanding fiscal achievements, while also further strengthening transparency, as well as trust between Placer SPCA and the local community.

“It’s important for those who invest in our organization – our donors – to know we responsibly manage our resources,” says Leilani Fratis, Placer SPCA CEO. “Our transparency also provides a clear picture of the impact our donor dollars have on the people and animals we serve.”
