Darrell was born on May 9, 1983 in Rolla, MO. He moved with his family to Sacramento shortly after he was born, and later to Foresthill where he attended grade school and high school. Darrell lived the majority of his adult life in Oroville. Darrell leaves behind two children, Michael (18) and Heather (17). He is also survived by his older brother Floyd, younger sister Samantha, parents Michael and Tammy, sister-in-law Keri, brother-in-law Wesley, nephews Braden, Calvin and Shorty, niece Cheyenne, and his partner of almost 20 years, Heather Lang.

In Darrell's memory and in lieu of flowers, the family is asking that monetary donations and/or volunteer hours go to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
