Gregory (“Greg”) Scott Boatright, is survived by his wife, Jana Boatright; his son, Dustin Boatright; his stepdaughter, Stacey Boatright; his sister, Deborah Erickson; his nephews, Jason Gruhlke and Christopher Erickson; and his three great nephews. Greg was predeceased by his father, Leroy Boatright, in 2001 and his mother, Nellie Boatright, in 2007.

Born in Fullerton, CA, Greg was a long-time resident of Foresthill, CA and Waldport, OR. He prided himself on being a provider for his family and worked in the sawmill industry for over 45 years. Married for 25 years, Greg and his wife, Jana, loved each other deeply and unconditionally. Greg was very proud of his son, Dustin, as he has followed in Greg’s footsteps by working at Georgia Pacific and is an avid and skilled fisherman. Greg was most certainly proud of his stepdaughter, Stacey, for her educational accomplishments, work ethic, and grace. Greg was a good friend – not to many, but to a few – and we are grateful for the time we had with him.

Greg enjoyed golfing, fishing, crabbing, soaking in the hot tub after a long shift at work, watching television, eating home cooked meals, and drinking his favorite cocktails. He was a man of few words, but never wavered in his love, care, and support for his family.

To honor Greg’s memory, a Celebration of Life will be held on August 20 in Waldport, OR.
