Mark Anthony Middleton, of Foresthill, California, passed away Friday, November 18th, 2022, at home unexpectedly. He was born in Sacramento, California to Betty and Victor Bauthier on January 11, 1959.
He moved to Foresthill as a young boy where he developed lifelong friendships and an appreciation of life in the foothills. He met his true love, Tammy as a teen and we're lucky enough to spend 26 years together (married July 9th, 1983). Together they had three children; Meagan, Whitney, and Zac.
Mark worked many jobs throughout his life, he cherished the friends and memories he gained from these experiences. He shared his many talents at the local mill, as an electrician, the local telephone company, and Foresthill Towing Company. He gained a nickname from the young men in his life who referred to him as “Boss”.
Mark was a spitfire of a man who knew how to have fun. He shared memories of his teenage years that made him smile and laugh. He was known to be the daredevil, a real “up for anything” kind of friend. Those close to him knew him as quick witted, feisty, yet kind and thoughtful. Mark and his wife Tammy always opened their home to share time with friends and family. He was an excellent cook and was known for his amazing chili. He was proud of winning 1st place in the Iowa Hill chili cookoff.
In recent years, following the passing of his dear wife Tammy, he had become quite the homebody. In this time we still all shared great memories and welcomed close family and friends with an ice cold beer.
Although he will be missed beyond words, it brings our family great peace knowing he has finally been reunited with the love of his life.
He is also preceded in death by his parents Betty and Gene Middleton, brother Jeffery, niece Melissa, loving furry sidekick Ozzy, and many other family and friends.
Mark was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Meagen, Whitney, Zac. Grandchildren; Bryce, Ava, Dixie, and Dusti. Siblings, Ana, Teri, Viki, Rene, Suzzette, Robert, Beth and Gene. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who are loved as family.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will be held at the Foresthill Memorial Hall on Saturday March 4th, from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Please come and share your special memories or show your presence as we remember our special time spent with Mark. If you would like to bring a side dish it is appreciated but not required.
