Foresthill Divide School (FDS) News: What can one say to a teacher that has worked her entire 33-year career with us as her only school district? What can one say to a teacher that has taught our community’s Kindergarten students across the span of three decades and multiple generations? What can one say to a teacher that has been the enduring glue of keeping staff united while finding time to coach basketball and volleyball, host Jog-A-Thons, and serve as the local teachers’ union President? Mere words would be challenging to express the enormity of the appreciation in the hearts of all that have been fortunate enough to travel the same path of this Foresthill gem of a teacher, but we will start with “Thank you.” Thank you, Lynn Schefcik, for all that you have selflessly given to the students, families, and staff in our journey together. We wish you the very best in your retirement after the end of this school year.

FDS students, families, and staff will continue working together as a team to return to “better than” normal for the 2021-22 school year. I would like to, as usual, invite the community to join us in that cause to provide our students with world-class education…for the sake of our children’s success and future.

This truly is the season and time to fully embrace appreciativeness and gratitude for each other. And to all of you…

Thank you.
